Music N Wrestling

Music and Wrestling have gone hand in hand for years, and still do to this day. This post is going to give you a brief history of music and wrestling's relationship over the years. After the brief history, there will be fun facts about music and wrestling together. Enjoy.

Now I'm not exactly sure when music and wrestling's relationship began, but the moment I remember the two colliding was at Wrestlemania one. Cyndi Lauper made an appearance that day. In my opinion, that is when the relationship started. I think that was the point when the relationship not only started, but that's also when it started to grow.

The relationship definitely expanded over the years. Various artists showed up on wrestling shows, and even did some theme songs for wrestlers. They don't really do that anymore. They have a group of people that create a bunch of theme songs, but outside music can still be used.
So here are some appearances that happened:
1.)Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were the guest hosts of Raw on November 9, 2009.

2.)Lemmy Kilmister did two of Triple H's themes. The Game and The King of Kings. Lemmy also performed Triple H's entrance at Wrestlemania 21.

3.)Megadeth performed the song Crsuh 'Em for Goldberg on WCW Monday Nitro in 1999. Goldberg used the song briefly for his entrance.

4.)Fozzy performed To Kill a Stranger on Raw in 2002.
(Link is below in the fun facts)

5.)ZZ Top showed o up on Raw on September 20, 2009.

The list goes on, so I only named a few. But I think you get the point.

Wrestling and Music go together like peanut butter and jelly. They are perfect together. Also, if you watch, some musicians will talk about their love for wrestling and vice versa.
I know this wasn't the whole history, because there is so much more, but I just wanted to give a brief history, and highlight the main points.
But to give a little more, here are some fun facts:
1.)Goldberg appeared in the music video for Megadeth's Crush 'Em.

2.)Raven and DDP appeared in Stuck Mojo's music video for Rising.

3.) Not a lot of people know this, but Chris Jericho is in a band called Fozzy. He formed it with Stuck Mojo founder Rich Ward.

4.) Dave Mustaine of Megadeth presented Triple H the first ever spirit of Lemmy Kilmister award at Download Fest 2016.

5.) Chris Jericho has a podcast called Talk is Jericho. He has musicians and wrestlers on there, along with other people from the entertainment business.
